Murugan brings over 30 years of experience in industrial automation to FSO institute. He recently led the global automated vision inspection (AVI) technology initiatives at Pfizer where he had increasing responsibilities for the past 26 years, interfacing successfully with 100+ internal & external manufacturing sites.
Murugan is a recognized global leader, Automation engineer with extensive experience in advanced manufacturing technology platforms development, implementation, operation, and maintenance. He is an active industry partner for PMMI, participating in the organization’s initiatives from 1992.
Murugan has a wide range of experience in various industry segments including Process, Pharma, Consumer, Packaging and OEM. He led global pharma packaging track and trace automation initiatives, development of automation platforms for continuous manufacturing processes and highspeed packaging automation solutions. He is a trained robotic engineer, designed and implemented 20+ robotic automation solutions.
Murugan served as Pfizer global volunteer and supported Tsunami victims in Asia for 3 months in 2005. Murugan collects industrial robot scale models as a hobby for the past 30 years.
